Scientific Evaluation of Preclinical Models and Alternative Research Approaches

The aim of this survey is to systematically capture the current use of preclinical research models. In particular, the focus is on:

• the biological materials and organ-specific tissues used,
• the significance of human-based and alternative models,
• existing and planned measures to reduce animal testing in accordance with the 3R principle (Replacement, Reduction, Refinement).

The survey follows a purely evaluative approach. Your responses are collected anonymously, evaluated in aggregated form, and used for scientific analyses. Participation is voluntary. Your data will be processed in accordance with applicable data protection regulations (GDPR). Non-participation or discontinuation of the survey will not result in any costs or disadvantages to you. 

As a participant, you have the option to gain access to the results after the survey is completed. If you would like to be informed about the key results and findings of the survey, you can voluntarily leave your contact details at the end of the survey.

Completing the survey takes approximately 12–15 minutes.
